Graphite Electrode Selection Guide

The tables below show the typical properties and dimensions of the graphite electrodes we supply – please contact our technical sales team with your enquiries.

UHP GRADE (PREMIUM)

ELECTRODE DIAMETER MM 250 - 600
BULK DENSITY G/CM³ 1.64 - 1.75
SPECIFIC RESISTANCE µΩM 4.5 - 6.0
FLEXURAL STRENGTH MPa 10 - 15
CTE 10¯61/°C 0.7 - 1.5
POROSITY % 17 - 23
ASH CONTENT % 0.1 - 0.6

UHP electrodes are used for energy efficient transmission of high current loads into the furnace charge giving lower electrode consumption rate and faster metal meltdown rates.

Scrap Graphite Recovery

Scrap Graphite RecoveryCoidan Graphite Products can re-process your scrap graphite and convert it into reuseable parts such as furnace bricks or small consumable machined items - those pieces that are not suitable for re-machining are then crushed and used for recarburiser.

Recarburiser

We offer a full range of recarburiser, natural graphite and activated carbons to suit the bulk needs of major manufacturing industries.

Granular graphite

Granular graphite granulesA wide range of carbon, coke, and graphite granular products are sold by Coidan Graphite Products Ltd.

The range is from typical coarse particles to special fines with various classifications according to customer requirements.

Packaging is bags, drums, or bulk. The variety of applications for these products is a result of differences in grade, particle and chemistry.
